The Princess and the Frog 2009
one of the last classic Disney films imo. we got wishing stars, true love, AND talking animals?? wonderful. bonus points for also being the last full length animated feature film Disney would ever produce. it is very beautiful.
my main issue is that the climax is very long, and characters spend a lot of time doing very little during a SERIOUS TIME CRUNCH. pick up the pace guys !!

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
The kind of sad that makes you feel empty, which I guess is the intention. Really, really strong atmosphere in the first two acts, but it lost me a bit when Owen reached adulthood. But again, maybe the intention? Regardless, it really pulls you back with the ending. It's devastating. Definitely a very strong queer (specifically trans) allegory, but even if you haven't necessarily experienced dysmorphia or being in the closet, that dreadful feeling of isolation is sure to strike…
