been dealing with a lot of death in my personal life, so the ending really hit hard for me
i think it has pacing problems but the movie works for me, i enjoyed it overall
this group of friends stood really close to me after the movie as i was waiting for my friends and i could not help but eavesdrop this really dumb take from this guy "i dont understand why they couldn't keep the machine like as an insurance bad stuff happening", like bro, what did you do for the last two hours, the movie literally shows you why it's bad to have this

Millennial Twin Peaks but Jake Gyllenhaal is emo teen jesus
Still an enjoyable watch after a couple of decades, i enjoyed the dynamic between all characters, it makes it felt really lived in. It really was released at a perfect time for me as a teen in high school to feel really self important and emo.
Although the acting can be really stilted at times, there is a charm to it
It still holds up as a watch
