Once Upon a Time in Mexico is a supremely stylish finale to The Mexico Trilogy and a fun watch despite its messy script. It introduces some memorable new characters, particularly Johnny Depp’s Agent Sands, who easily steals every scene he’s in. Unfortunately, the pacing does drag at times, making the whole thing feel a bit uneven. Even so, there’s enough flair and action to keep it entertaining.

The City of Lost Children 1995
This movie awakened something inside me when I first saw it as a kid. It was a taste defining experience that I finally got to revisit after 20+ years.

Super Mario Bros. 1993
I put this in the same boat as Halloween 3 where it gets unfairly shit on because it doesn’t meet our preconceived notions as to what a Mario movie should be. The world building here is top notch and takes some massive swings to deliver something original and fun.
Sure the movie is flawed but nowhere near the level to receive its infamous reputation.
I also must say Umbrella’s 4K Blu-ray is phenomenal. So much detail and texture on display where you can really appreciate the dystopian Mushroom Kingdom.
