Venom: Let There Be Carnage 2021
Gay love story of the year. Absolutely SAVED by the fact that Venom simply speaks more often in this, every single word that mutters out of his mouth is Oscar worthy and had me clutching my chickens from laughter in the theater. Carnage was cool, but such an interesting and iconic comics character deserved a better script and nuance, his full potential not long for cinema, it seems. Venom was great though.

Alien: Covenant 2017
This movie was very hyped up for its release, and it did not meet ANY of it. However, as a die-hard fan of the Alien universe (did you know there are comics?) this movie was so satisfying in many, many levels. In a way, it is a guilty pleasure but only because so many people disliked it. I loved every second of it, it was exactly what I had wanted Prometheus to be when it came out.
