  i just hated this movie. i could never buy into the narration thing cos he sounded SO gloomy all the time and i couldn’t buy into the slow breakdown he had because eMoTiONS either.... anyway i don’t remember exactly what made me dislike it so much but i think the fact that it took itself so seriously from the very beginning but never gave anything particularly insightful or poignant to back up the melodrama

  if the visuals weren’t this effective i would’ve given it one star..... as much as it sickens me i can’t help but buy into some of its glitter covered star studded leather clad world because of how stunning and unusual some shots are. but it doesn’t say anything new or nuanced about the beauty and fashion industry that we haven’t already heard before and the symbolic images they employ sometimes appear only once or twice which makes the film feel…
