Atmospheric horror, decent story but nothing groundbreaking. Iconic music moments throughout the movie that adds to the atmosphere and eerie vibe.
The changes of the silent hill areas to the "otherworld" - are really well made and scary and so are the monsters (pyramid head, nurses, spitters)
Other than that no one seems to care that husband has lost his wife and child, and the scenes with the husband are overall a bit bland.
