Robert Eggers loves when that man says Hark or anything similar. Fair tbh.
The fire lit castle scenes were wonderfully creepy and the fact I didn't know it was Bill Skarsgard (sp) underneath those prosthetics going in, and didn't easily see it when I saw Orlok, is testament to those effects and his phenomenal monster acting.
Lots of spooky. Lots of goth. A surprising amount of nudity for the 15 rating but it's by no means gratuitous in my mind. I have no one person to shout out for their acting performance, because they were all brilliant.

Alien: Romulus 2024
Great stuff relative to the recent instalments in the Alien franchise. Practical effects and the silent space shots were highlights and I enjoy the way Andy is presented even if it's a common trope in this franchise. Some shots were a little clunky or obscured details of cool scenes but overall I can't help but be very pleased.
It could be said that it's derivative of the original formula and I think that's very valid, but the Anthromorph (credit Nathan Cas for that nickname) felt like a nice play on the original's final act.
Also the chest-burster scene. Love that chest-burster scene.
