Lithgow and Tucci were dialing it up a little too much for my taste
But man, nobody takes a line of dialogue and just chews on it like Ralph Fiennes.
Haven’t seen the first one in quite awhile, but I thought this was very creative and very practical. I think everyone can take something positive from seeing this, but maybe I’m just a softie.
As an added bonus, I was able to see every single reference in real time thanks to my 10 year old niece who has this movie literally memorized. (She pointed out that Anger sleeps with a concrete block as a pillow…. Would have gone through the rest of my earthly life without seeing that. But now I will treasure this knowledge forever - thanks AB)
Talking about visiting Boston again with my wife, couldn’t believe she hadn’t seen this before.
Some of the most authentic acting you’ll ever see. Incredible depth and story building. Robin Williams left us way too soon.
**if you think I hand out too many 5 star reviews, maybe it’s because you’re too scared to put yourself out there emotionally and experience a 5 star movie yourself. Go to therapy you cowards
This is the Star Wars film I feel the most attachment to. We had a VHS of this and for most of my childhood, it was the only Star Wars access I ever had. Yes, the CGI is terrible and the Naboo battle looks like it was created in Microsoft paint. But the pod racing, duel of the fates, and anything with Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan might be some of the best scenes in the entire franchise.
While Jar Jar is bad, Disney is worse.
