demi moore and margaret qualley were both great, dennis quaid was okay.
there's a real conflict of horror and humour at times - those moments of overt information delivery, excessive cuts and repetition. but, i've come to view these instances as deliberate choices... embracing a campy, self-aware humor rather than some cheap clumsy exposition. and there's a good deal of fear factor and tension aside from the body horror elements.

Autumn Sonata 1978
perfect. flawless filmmaking. unlike many viewing experiences where i'd be inclined to say a certain scene or shot or even a line of dialogue could've been done better, autumn sonata leaves no room for improvement. everything is perfectly executed.
liv ullmann's performance, out of this world.
one of the most striking sequences is the piano scene, so incredibly evocative. the notes, their faces, zero words, pure heartbreak.
