A story of loss as a women suffers from alzheimers. She loses her sense of self and her family feels like they've lost her. A sad story of someone who spent a lifetime building up their knowledge and their frameworks of thinking to be lost despite her best efforts. At what point is she no longer a mom to her daughters and is just someone to be cared for. For one it is pretty early into the disease and for another she remained Alice

suncoast is quite raw with very realistic dialogue. It mirrors the directors own story of having to take care of her vegetative brother for years while wanting to be a teen having fun. I appreciate the movie didnt make the other girls in hs mean, but understanding and genuinely realistic ppl. Woodys character was solid, i love that hes there to dispense wisdom and make the viewer reflect on the situation while also being a bit of a hippie nut. Doris's journey of grief is well told with uplifting awkwardness

How does a movie with insane acting and setting get a one star? Watch and find out.

Much better than I expected. Jack black gave an insane performance as a classic popular teenage girl that proves you don't need makeup or costume to disappear into your role. Solid laughs
