I’m in disbelief that it didn’t scoop up an Oscar nod for Best Cinematography, as it was my favorite aspect of the film. I enjoyed the tour of Kenneth Branagh’s birthplace, but not sure I would want to visit his childhood’s past again. A very touching ending.

Not one of my personal favorites from the Top BP Oscar nominees.

Mr. GDT’s signature style all over it. My second favorite costume design of Oscar nominees. No peak performances from any of the star-studded cast. Unfortunately, I never watched its (1947) version. Still, I found it compelling until the final minute.

I never got to see the black and white version in theaters :(

Filmed all over my neighborhood, so when I say this movie hits home, I mean it. So much heart and soul. It never loses sense of realism. It includes one of my favorite scenes all year. Jonah Hill delivers all emotions with impact & passion. Nostalgic and genuine. It made me reminisce of my time growing up. I had similar friends. I love that Jonah Hill didn’t shy away from slurs and vulgar language, because it really be like that when you’re young.

Christopher Nolan: I'll take a large cherry coke

*me shaking as I press the cherry coke button*

Never in hundreds of years, did I ever think I would have the opportunity to meet Mr. Nolan, and I would go on to do so, several times. Working @ the ArcLight theater in Hollywood, it opened the possibilities of all that happening. I remember the exact feeling of being completely stunned the first time. Interstellar (2014) was still due…
