    Low budget, weak sci-fi space scenes, gross body horror scenes, some okay trippy montages, mild acting, pop scare filled, pretty confusing movie.

    2.5 as a sci-fi, maybe a 3 for a “horror”.

    Thought this movie was a pretty big let down. Found it pretty corny and just never really got behind the silly, “funny” scenes. I also didn’t get a majority of the characters introduced; there just didn’t seem to really be a point to like half the story. 

    Mickey 17 was way too long for what it had to offer. I was counting down this movie to be over and just felt like it was going nowhere with pretty subpar acting/dialogue. I did really like the alien slug species and found them pretty funny though!

    The secret to enjoying a mid movie is showing up while it’s still in Dolby and just as it’s about to start with absolutely no idea what it’s about. That way you never saw the trailer for the movie you’re about to watch and don’t see any trailers for any future movies.
