  rent was quite literally a part of my personality in middle and high school in the midst of being bullied so i cant say i didn't already have a predisposition to being fond of this one, and andrew garfield knocks it out of the park with his performance as jonathan larson. the one thing holding it back for me was the fact that outside of the musical performances, the direction felt lackluster. there were times when i felt like the cast was working against the movie to put on good performances. i think this is enjoyable in spite of lin manuel miranda, not because of him

  i think this is weaker compared to the first two films but i love a good homage to the giallo genre so i still enjoyed this

  one of the best musicals in the last few years that deals with xenophobia, racism, and global warming AND IT’S SPONGEBOB!
