Saw this in the movie theater at the Providence Place Mall, a few hundred feet from the former apartment. Michael Townsend was there at the screening. Great documentary, hilarious at times with how ridiculous the whole thing was. Also great comment on the importance of community, art, and self expression.

Wicked 2024
Probably the best film adaptation of a musical I’ve seen. The theater nerd in me had a great time. Despite the long runtime (also only being part 1 of 2?) it was a well paced movie on top of the entire musical.
I wish they had leaned more into the roots of technicolor; this suffered a bit from the sad beige trend. Everything looked very washed out. It’s fantasy! Make the colors pop!
