The Brutalist 2024
Beautiful film with excellent cinematography, and I appreciated how the film was pieced together. It was easy to follow and unfolded well, getting to know the characters' struggles. Adrien Brody did a great job.
It's a different way to consider the role of immigrants in the United States, the way one can accomplish a sense of worth, and how they fit within the broader socioeconomic scheme. It was worth all 3+ hours.

A Real Pain 2024
I went in with higher expectations. One can tell a compelling story about a pair of cousins getting in touch with their roots in a different way - one that makes one feel for the characters more. The music was great, some good scenery, but it just did not do it for me.
I needed better character development/conclusion.
