This reveals the concealed realities of the Marcoses, especially of Imelda, as well as its parallelism to today's administration. However, it swiftly retells the important events thereby lacking more depth and details, leaving me frustrated. So much are missing in the film.. but certainly, the atrocities of the Marcoses & that time of turmoil cannot be told in such a short length. Through the narrator (Imelda), it's as if her own words incriminate herself. It's actually so brilliant.

first letterboxd review for this overrated film that annoys the heck out of me! cinematography is beautiful. period. it aims to traumatize and upset the viewers to the max so if that's your thing.. go for it mamsir! It just ain't it for me. cliche psychological/horror/thriller story and ending, but budget film by famous director so that's probs why it's got this much hype.
