  for the first (and probably only) time in my damn life i get to be the one to explain a filmmaker to a bunch of film buffs!!! i am a stupid idiot when it comes to movies, but i know theater and i know annie baker and GOSH did she make the most annie baker movie she could’ve made!!! so silly but so sincere, brimming with intentional, loaded silences and subtle, quirky nuances that build a specific yet familiar world…
