okay this is lowkey a joint review with me and my mom watching and she got so bored that i stopped the movie at "popular", and then went on wikipedia to tell her what happens afterwards, and then played the last 15 minutes of the movie (of defying gravity)
and i have to say she is nottt wrong the movie is lowkey way too slow, the lighting is not good enough to entice her, and the singing style is clearly…

there's two wolves inside of u, mickey 17 and mickey 18 (i want them both inside of me)
okay but decent funny film, well paced, splashed with violence without feeling violent. The message runs in the undercurrent of the film before emerging full-formed at the end, but it doesn't feel like an afterthought, rather like a plot twist in plain sight.

bitches be critquing about the ideals it tried to portray like fuck off its a movie that movied idk what to tell u
edit: one insane flaw about it that i realise in retrospect is: a woman defining sex as a pure desire she has, that has nothing wrong with it, is a strong message that might be feminist, but her working at the brothel takes it away completely. That plot segment is so icky to me. (im not really qualified to speak on feminism cause im not that educated but i know its ICKY)
