The Hollywood Godzillas got nothing on this beast of a film.
A character-driven disaster/war film, that serves as an allegory for Hiroshima like the original 1954 film, as well as a criticism of the Japanese government's willingness to sacrifice it's people for war.
This Godzilla is truly terrifying. An absolute force of nature. He earns the title of a god.
An incredible piece of disaster and action filmmaking, while also having a truly touching and devastating character study at it's heart.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2023
I was pleasantly surprised with how fun this was. Truly feels like a D&D campaign. The way they spend about an hour going after an item they think will help them, but ends up being useless, and instead brings about character development. Normally that would make for bad writing, but considering the source material, I think it was on purpose.
It’s rare to see a movie where I actually want a sequel.

Infinity Pool 2023
I've seen depraved films before, but they're usually excusable by the fact that they are hard to come by and are made with low budgets.
Infinity Pool is depraved trash cinema elevated by high quality cinematography and acting.
Still made me want to leave the theater not because of being grossed out, but because I felt it was a waste of time. I hated this film, but I guess can see why certain people liked it. Good premise, but executed in a way that leads me to believe Brandon Cronenberg is a sociopath more than a storyteller.
It's just not my taste.Translated from by
