Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
An impressively mediocre script that attempts to be carried almost solely by its visuals, which can be breathtakingly beautiful but fluctuate wildly in quality and sometimes approach the level of a bad video game cut scene. The film is at its most visually stunning when it shows off its aquatic creature designs, but even those sequences drag on for far too long in a self-indulgent manner.

I think this movie is trying to be bad-funny instead of bad-bad, but the tragedy is that it's not really funny or cleverly funny enough to be bad-funny. It seems to aspire to be something like Dark Place but ultimately falls short because its comedy writing isn't as good. Oh well.

The only funny part of this movie is when the characters have to take a vampire elevator down into the vampire cult headquarters and there is vampire elevator music. Besides that, this story is so lifeless that it’s not even fun as a hate watch.
