I thought this movie was done fantastically well as the shot of Gosling in the car driving made you feel as if you were in the back set. The over the shoulder shot made you think about what his next move will be and how he'll do it. I felt as though Gosling wasn't showing enough emotion in the way he talks, but everyone else showed some sort of emotion. The action scenes I felt though carried the movie, but outside of that I really enjoyed it. His interactions with Benicio were really adorable though.

I feel as though they portrayed the psychopathic emotions of Bruno was done really well. It showed him as this stalker and somewhat of a monster, whose is mentally deranged and thinks that whatever he does or say is correct. The final scenes of Guy playing tennis and Bruno traveling to Metcalf had you on the edge of your seat as you don't really know what might happen next. While Guy did win at the end, it wasn't a great victory as he slightly manage to best Bruno in the carousel scene. Though I felt bad for the guy that got shot in end.
I thought the movie portrayed racism in a very negative way, but still did a good job at using it for showing how the time period was like. As opposed to them using it as if they just threw it out their for the sake of showing it. It had an important context to the movie and showed how Giliespies character shined as he ended up respecting Tibbs. I feel as though some people might not enjoy the movie due to the racism, but I think it was great at portraying the characters interactions with one another because of it.

I thought the movie was okay, but was really slow and dragged on a bit longer than it should have. The scenes with the little boy crossing the streets or following his dad was somewhat funny, but thats all I can really give it. The ending left me unsatisfied as it was somewhat contradictory to his character through the entire film. That he wasn't gonna just give up and that he wanted to keep on going, looking for his bike.…
