Supporting cast, set design and world building are all very fun and make the film for me. Songs and Chamolet's performance work within it but I'd be let down if that was all I was looking for in the film.

Don't go in trying to take it seriously - you'll stumble into non-sensical character decisions and iffy dialogue, especially in the first half.

Go in for a fun, silly film and you'll have a great time.

Acting, score, and big set pieces - all 10/10.

What brings this film down for me is that for the first hour I could hardly understand any of the dialogue. When I could it appeared the actors were saying cheesy trailor-esque phrases.

This added to the nonlinearity of the film made its plot in the last hour (post bomb) hard to follow and motives of main characters (notably RDJ's) hard to understand.

Perhaps this was just me, but its an issue in other Nolan films too.

An enjoyable experience where the highs shone through, perhaps my expectations were too high.

Robert Pattinson is great as Batman - I had my doubts but he really makes it his own.

Zoë Kravitz is also amazing and unlike Batman sidekicks of the past the film benefits significantly from her addition.
Colin Farrell was the big surprise in this for me. His Penguin was essential to this film, providing valuable comic relief.

Whilst Dano plays an interesting Riddler the similarities between him this and the Dark Knight are striking. Also, the incel-themes of his characters are not explored enough to be interesting rather than distracting.
