Another eat the rich story, but this one is rather trite and basic in its approach. The comedy has some chuckles, largely thanks to Will Poulter giving it his all as always. But mainly, it feels like they relied on the actors to bring the laughs over the script.
The emotional core between Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd is too underdeveloped to make me care by the end. The unicorn element has some fun beats, but doesn’t do enough to carry through iffy pacing. It’s criminal that Anthony Carrigan was so underutilized.
