  so many people are complaining about the fact that it spends most of the time following connie just living her life, being a teenage girl experiencing common problems and...why? that seems like the entire point? that one day you’re living, a normal teen girl trying to find your footing and then a psychopath you unintentionally cross paths with can decide to change that. maybe it’s because people are so used to the grisly borderline exploitative true crime stories these days where victims are simply a footnote totally eviscerated of context as real people with real lives before coming across the wrongest stranger idk. really effective movie
