Was skeptical in the beginning but if you think of it as holding the plot structure of feature length porno films, it delivers breathtaking scene after scene. Some make me wanna cry at their visual and symbolic beauty, will remind you of el greco, but they kinda have to be looked at as standalone sexploitation fantasies, cuz the general cohesion of the movie is terrible, hence the porno structure reference. Campy as hell in its anachronistic duality of mixing the European medieval with the modern male gaze lesbian (the main nun character looks like she’s ready to sell mansions on Selling Sunset).
