  alright, so. the movie has an atmosphere you can never fully dive into, lame script where not much happens, a score that’s good maybe 30% of the time, it doesn’t make you care about the characters at all, has little tension, you know exactly what’s going to happen, the scene where the alien communicates with riya is super forgettable, and i’m not sure if this was my ears or the movie but at times our leads (especially brion) were indecipherable.…

  the dialogue is terrible, frida has the misfortune of being written by someone who’s more than a bit out of touch, the shift in tone about 40 minutes in could’ve been done so much better and the ending was fucking awful. i so wanted them all to be final girls and instead we got a character who wants to turn things on its head by becoming a millionaire??? sure, kravitz. sure.
