Anthony Mackie is excellent as the lead, but I just wish he got a better film than this. You can quite literally see the seams of this film throughout, due to the hefty amount of reshoots that were done. The script, and the final cut of the film as a result, just became super messy.

Also that ending is absolutely wild.
Unfortunately, this film suffers greatly from unbalanced sound design and a lack of character depth, resulting in inaudible dialogue for the majority of the movie and completely uninteresting characters. And when the credits finally roll, the realization that the entire 2.5 hours was so obviously buildup for the “Part 2” is just disappointing.
