  The Cell 2000

  There are two films in *The Cell*: one is a nonsensical men-who-hate-women Silence of the Lambs wannabe about a twisted serial killer. The other one makes as little sense, but it's the one Tarsem Singh wants to direct and the one I want to watch, filled with beautiful and nightmarish visuals and a wonderfully terrifying Vincent D'Onofrio.

  Somewhere between Okja and Snowpiercer, it's the 'western' kind of Bong Joon-ho film: it has a message (actually, many of them, maybe too many), a good script and distracting acting excesses

  Captain America: Brave New World 2025

  I'm so sorry to say this because I really wanted to like a new MCU film, but this is poorly written and directed without personality. It made me be nostalgic about Falcon and the Winter Soldier. How much longer must Sam Wilson have doubts about his new role?
  How bad is the villain's design?
  How bad is the characterisation of allies?
  Mackie and Lumbly do what they can with the roles they are given, and Harrison Ford is on a totally different charisma level than everybody else.
  But so rarely I have been so bored by a Marvel film.
