Classic Wes Craven. When you get past the Xenophobia and the demonizing of African Traditional Religions and how Hollywood tends to lump Black magic together with Vodou , Santeria and other ATRs. It is  still  quite an amazing movie with bone chilling shots that are the stuff of nightmares.  There are some scenes that are stuck in my head since I was a Child and has influenced a lot of my own screenwriting and film Making . Classic!

Satire at its absolute finest . Takes a look at a predominantly black neighborhood as its protagonist discovers some unsavory government plans hidden deep below the surface. After watching a movie like this,  you can only wonder “how the hell did the studio allow them to make such a film !?” I mean it completely blows a whistle but it’s so hidden beneath some big  humorous moments that , maybe they thought it would go over most peoples’ heads … I dont know, but watch it .. it’s crazy good satire !
