  Eraserhead 1977

  It may sound strange, but I found this to be the first Lynch work I’ve seen that is mostly lighthearted. Most everything else has some menacing or dreadful undertones that make the viewing experience a battle with the soul.

  I honestly found eraserhead more playful in tone despite typical unnerving lynchian imagery. I would imagine that’s because there wasn’t a underlying haunting score like usual; just wind howling and some delightful singing.

  Sad that big budgets used to be spent on special effects artists building up big sets and practical effects and now we got like Wicked where that money goes ? and the movie looks like ass. Exception being Villeneuve’s he got his shit straight.
