  For a film with so much muscle, I found it quite thin. The script felt a bit lazy and predictable. Efron didn’t quite deliver the heart the film needed. The real life story is unbelievable, but stripped of the casts insane physical transformations, the beautiful photography, costumes, and general 70/80s ooze, the film itself doesn’t deliver us anything new or special.
