Admission of bias: I love the group.
The great thing about the movie is that it has been restored from an old film of 1984', with an amazing audio editing.
Furthermore, I like the idea of planning a concert with a director to make a movie out of it, which is different from a recording.
I felt like going before the screen to dance at their performance.

Notice this is an American movie. Beautiful open minded ladies against brute Islamic men. No geopolitical context about Iran, and apparent no relationship with the U.S.. Perfectly suited for american audience.
I enjoyed the book club scenes, which reminded me that Resistance is also done with dances and chants.
I hope this brings fortune to the book.
The directors probably thought a beautiful photography and a good music editing would sustain the attention.
If asked, I couldn't tell what the movie is about: no subject, no plot. I wouldn't watch it for free.
The good thing about Arsa, is that it made it to the Rome Film Fest. And this gives us hopes.
