Gran Turismo 2023
competently made and performed but inseparable from its true purpose of fellating Sony & Gran Turismo as products. Also falls into the usual biopic trap of bending over backwards to create a tense narrative where none existed: the real guy had his accident long after he "proved himself" so to speak.

The Last Horror Film 1982
it's a movie about making movies but it also reads as an advertisement to visit the south of France where the discos are full of neon and topless women roam free. Pretty-thin, story-wise, but if you're going to coast on vibes these will suffice.

Yes, Madam! 1985
It's a comedy first and an action movie second, which is crazy because the action parts steal the show! The chaotic last act deservedly belongs on the short list of the all-time great stunt showcases.
Your tolerance for the film as a whole will be put to the test given the amount of screentime dedicated a pair of bumbling thieves—occasionally a TRIO, even—although even they put in the work when they have to take hits to sell the danger. If you find yourself running out of patience, you have my permission to skip ahead until the showdown at the mansion.Translated from by -
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan 1982
it's not everyday one of your favorite films enters the National Film Registry so I'm commemorating the occasion by watching Star Trek II for the 20th time, probably (The Director's Cut).
Today's favorite observation: Ricardo Montalban hardly has any lines in this movie but every second he's on screen he's acting harder with his face and body language than all his peers.Translated from by
