Bounded-Boundless 2008
The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky established a concept of belief vs. conduct of belief that I find this documentary induced my residence with that concept in a way I culturally resonate with. 1000% recommend for anyone with religious trauma from Islam, Hinduism or Sikhi.

Apu watching Durga dance in the rain while Ravi Shankar, Norah Jones' father as well, plays in the background. That one scene's love, maternity, and playfulness is more than enough to exceed the immense tragedy in the rest of the film.
