  "What befalls others today, may be your own fate tomorrow"

  
  Harakiri has to be one of my favorite movies of all time, despite the fact that I've only seen it once. My expectations were high, but they were well exceeded. There is no unnecessary dialogue, the main characters are well-developed, and the storyline flows smoothly and raises fundamental issues such as human nature, sense of morality, character, honor, and dignity.
