This film has nothing special. And by having nothing special is what makes it special in a way. It almost looks like a video you, me, anyone could do. Because it is so real, so raw, so “normal”.
Kieran is indeed great. But I love Jesse more. I love his geeky style, he’s so adorable.
It’s the perfect movie for you just want to watch something while you eat or chill. Nothing special ;)

Good photography, a lot of attention to details, but it didn’t make me feel a thing, unlike Schindler’s list or the boy with the striped pajamas.

This film is about paranoia. The worst that can happen when you live under a government that ceases people from their individual freedom, through the perspective of a middle class family. I think the most powerful thing about this movie is how art is and will always be, “une pièce de resistance” . The actors are great, and my utmost respect for the director.

Ok, this movie got me pretty mad. Mad because I hate 3 hour films, especially those with no big plot twists or anything to justify its length. Yeah, I understand it is a slow pace film, but my goodness, 3 hours for this?!?! The photography is good, the acting too, but there was nothing extraordinary in it. If it was 1:30h , I’d probably give 3,5 or 4 stars, but since it was 3h, that’s my rating (and I think it’s more than fair).
