As a Cornishman I wanted to love this and visually I did but I can’t say anything good about it past that. Too arty for me I was legit just waiting for it to end the entire time. Would love to see some more Cornish folk horror with more of a linear plot though, the landscape and culture definitely lends itself well to the genre

You Won't Be Alone 2022
Was expecting this to be a generic horror movie but it actually turned out to be a really interesting commentary on family, gender and what it means to be human. Some of the shots of nature were so beautiful, parts of this film felt like waking up on a crisp winter’s morning, to the point each time she took on another persons form it really did feel like a kind of rebirth, whilst some parts were pretty horrific but I guess that duality is a good reflection of what life is like so I think it worked well for the film. Very refreshing. Would 100% recommend.
