Everyone shitting on the film because the hound director is outspoken about how highly he rates his first work. Arrogance is never appreciated but shouldn’t impact the face value of the media presented. This review is after 7 pints but I’m sticking with it.

1917 2019
The one shot gimmick definitely starts off cool but potentially gets old as the film progresses and the passage of time feels slightly unnatural. That being said still a class period film with visuals that explain why so many war films exist. Slightly predictable but that’s not a big criticism of what is a movie that deserves to be watched by anyone who is a fan of European history.
