  interpretation of you can’t wake up if you don’t go to sleep

  The whole film is about rationality and absurdity and not being able to understand everything in life. You have to lose yourself to the absurdity (eg. fall asleep) to comprehend or even try to understand some things about existence (eg. waking up).

  In that sense the sentence represents the whole theme of the movie, which is not too assumptious given that it was literally shouted 20 times in the end.
