The Brutalist 2024
America’s Nosferatu. I saw these films a week apart. Two parts literally the build up and then the tear down and plague. What distinguishes them for me is the Brutalist style offers the spectator so little access into the emotional life of the characters. They are emotional, but I didn’t share it. Nosferatu grabbed me, pulled me in, and had me in a relationship with them, even eventually, the count.
