2.5 stars, a half-score, for a movie that was half-interesting and half-so-cliched-I-couldn't-help-but-laugh-while-it-was-dead-serious.
The premise is pretty good - Guy wakes up from his hibernation pod to find out he's the only one awake. Since he's only a passenger, Guy does not have access to any of the useful stuff (I'm using "Guy" because by Jove, I saw this movie yesterday and for the life of me cannot remember Chris Pratt's character's name). He still has 90 years to go, so…
One of the very successful new style westerns that are coming out. It takes its time but is never slow; these guys are on a quest and you're with them all the way. Great cast, cinematography, and story. Nothing could've prepared me for the cave scene though, that was some graphic nastiness.
All in all, I have heard way too little about this movie.

Awesooooome! Tears, chills, butterflies & laughs. Rey kicks arse, Finn is funny and great, Leia is a frigging beautiful GENERAL and Han, well... still cool.
Even though the movie has the same basic structure as A New Hope and it has a lot of cameos from the originals (Rey lives in an AT-AT for frack's sake!!!), but enough new stuff to keep me very entertained. Han is the new Obi-Wan, Luke is the new Yoda - let's hope he sticks around…
