  The Neon Demon for Cronenberg fans

  - I did enjoy it tho
  - overly self-explanatory to an exhausting degree
  - a movie clearly afraid of going for the much more interesting and clever ending it hinted during some scenes (that imo better fit the woman self-hatred narrative they are going for)
  - first movie where I’ve seen a quarter of the theather leaving in disgust (and that even before the real gory parts)
  - worst movie to watch with Germans, they have (very loud) nervous laughs every time they see a bit of blood onscreen, very upsetting experience
