Bittersweet. The 2 hours of almost overwhelming happiness and warmth this fills me with just to be challenged by the pain of it ending highlights the greatness of this gem & all that it means to me.
It breaks my heart and mends it all over again, takes me to divine places, forces me on to this rollercoaster of emotions. It’s like a drug..and that goes for all the films but especially this one.

HO-LY SHIT!
This is the most immersive cinematic experience I have ever had.
War has always been my favourite genre and this fucking gem completely outshines every other spectacular war film out there.
I have seen 3 of Francis Ford Capolla’s movies and each one of them are an easy 5 star, the man is an alien.
For a 3 hour movie I found it…

It’s like a bunch of kids sat round a table and began brainstorming ideas on how to make this entertaining..

Had the blessing to see this in the cinema and it was magical.
I must have been asked “are you sure this was made in ‘68” about 5 times by the person I was watching it with. Undoubtedly the most impressive film I’ve ever seen and probably ever will see.
It still leaves me baffled even after second watch.
What a film.
