  Malèna (2000) es una maravillosa película de Giuseppe Tornatore [Cinema Paradiso (1988), Están Todos Bien (1990)], que destaca por su ágil narrativa y su brillante retrato del chismorreo que envuelve a Malèna en el pueblo. Mención especial para la magnética presencia de Mónica Bellucci, cuya belleza exuberante me hipnotiza en cada escena que aparece.

  Malèna (2000) is a wonderful film by Giuseppe Tornatore [Cinema Paradiso (1988), Everybody’s Fine (1990)], notable for its agile storytelling and brilliant portrayal of the gossip that surrounds Malèna in the town. Special mention to the magnetic presence of Monica Bellucci, whose exuberant beauty hypnotizes me in every scene she appears in.

  PURE CINEMATIC MAGIC 

  This film deserved to win the Oscar for Best Picture more than Anora, in my humble opinion. Not only did it evoke deep emotions in me while watching, but it also received a roaring applause at the end in the theater where I saw it (Cines Verdi, Madrid).

  The movie has two different parts. The first one is quite interesting and manages to hold your attention, with a solid premise. In contrast, the second part is completely absurd, with gore so exaggerated that it ends up making you laugh, but more out of second-hand embarrassment than because of the fun it provides.

  La película tiene dos partes diferentes. La primera, resulta bastante interesante y logra mantener tu atención, con una premisa sólida. En cambio, la segunda parte es completamente absurda: con un gore tan exagerado que termina haciéndote reír, pero más por la vergüenza ajena que por la diversión que ésta genera.

  Un par de buenas risas y tiene buen tiene ritmo, pero se diluye un poco al final. En definitiva, está bien.
