Ripley 2024
Sings when Scott is alone or opposite the lower-billed players, particularly Maurizio Lombardi, but goes so limp any time he's paired with Flynn or, initially at least, Fanning. Elswit's gorgeous lines/shadows and Zaillian's detailed depiction of process were enough to keep a nerd like me hooked, though neither are what I usually come to Ripley stories for. Those aspects (the relationships, yearning, loathing) are sadly just not well-sketched here.
