I sobbed. This movie was a very accurate depiction of what addiction looks like and what it can lead to- as someone who currently has a close, childhood friend in active addiction this story represented the struggle of my friend’s mother and himself very well. Addiction is real and it can happen to anyone. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Anora 2024
I feel that Anora really captures you in the life of sex work - for some sex workers. It really demonstrates how devalued sex work is and how sometimes sex workers interactions can become so transactional that they don’t even realize they are. This doesn’t go for the life of every sex worker, but maybe for some who are just trying their best to survive.
