You know what? I thought this was going to be unwatchable.

It's incredible than an American studio greenlighted a movie like this.
While I love the emotional beats, the development of Caesar and the way it evokes a lot of the themes of Rise, I feel like the script has some gaps in it's logic that hold it back.
But, I'm a firm believer that emotion beats plot progression, and boy do I feel a lot during this film.
Who would've believed that one of the most cohesive trilogies of all times would come from The planet of the apes.
Apes together strong.
I couldn't tell this was Cooper's directorial debout.
A pretty by the numbers story gets brought up by great performances, really nice musical sequences and confident directing. I just wish there was a bit more to it.
