Starry Eyes 2014
Low-budget Neon Demon (rather, The Neon Demon is a big-budget copy of this, synthy soundtrack included - Refn's version basically just swaps a circle for a triangle as the symbol of transformation under which the story takes a turn for the worse) but I actually liked it better, more passion appears to have gone into making it and I loved the more intimate, looser style. I personally didn't mind the many cliches as they are to be expected in this kind of setup, but viewer beware.
