Albeit not reaching the same heights and depths as Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers, young Satoshi Kon's Perfect blue is a virtuoso, if disturbinf, piece of work, reminiscent of Krzysztof Kieślowski and David Lynch. Both color palette and sound design reek of 1990s vibes and have aged fairly well.

Manhunter 1986
Michael Mann's 'Manhunter' is an underrated masterpiece from 1980s neonoir. Coupling psychothriller with police drama, Will Graham's hunt for the Tooth Fairy is as trippy, exhilarating and dangerous as caressing a drugged tiger -- an hallucinating, dream-like sequence unlike no other.

Mickey One 1965
From the disjointed yet rhythmic set of sketches accompanied by Stan Getz's acute soundtrack, you know from the beginning you're in for an exquisite ride different from any other. A psychological, kafkaesque neonoir as entrancing and enigmatic as a piece of jazz fusion in a house of mirrors.

Decision to Leave 2022
Precise, enticing and otherworldly like an urban ukiyo-e painting, Park Chan Wook's take on Korean tragical romance is a masterpiece. The sea and the mountain will linger as we listen to Jung Hoon-Hee's 'The fog' on the background. To love is to let go.
