At times I was a bit bored weirdly, a few scenes between 40 minutes onwards are boring as the plot is incredibly wafer thin. The film relies on the kills and art, so when the killing slowed down the film got worse. The acting is fine, nothing to write home about but good enough to not be bad.

First of all, I was impressed visually with all the settings and locations, the camera work really shows both setting and characters very well.

Horizon felt slow. Like a bit gruelling at times despite having so many characters, plot points and action scenes. The dialogue was the issue mainly with the snails pace, it didn’t leave a lot to be desired and was quite boring. The intro credits and everything before going into the portal was interesting enough, the film builds up the intrigue of what’s on the other side of the stargate very well.
